We are proud to announce that for the fourteenth consecutive year Jáuregui y Del Valle achieved recognition as a Socially Responsible Firm granted by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (Centro Mexicano para la Filantropía – CEMEFI).
This recognition of Jáuregui y Del Valle, S.C. as a socially responsible business is really important to us. We’re dedicated to delivering legal services with the highest ethical standards and are extremely proud of winning recognition in this area from our clients, colleagues and the community.
Pueblo Hacia Arriba, A.C. Charitable Trust.
Pueblo Hacia Arriba, A.C. is a charitable Trust with strong alliance with Jáuregui y Del Valle, founded and supported by the Law Firm’s Managing Partner, Mr. Luis Gerardo Del Valle Torres. In addition to providing Pueblo Hacia Arriba, A.C. with rent-free office space, the firm covers their operating costs, from electricity and water through to phone lines and computer equipment.
The association exists to provide legal assistance to people and groups in vulnerable situations, particularly when this involves their human rights. Its aim is to help improve the social, legal and cultural wellbeing of the Mexican population, in particular amongst vulnerable and indigenous groups such as victims, minors, immigrants, women, disabled people and those who have been sentenced.
These situations are many and varied, but whatever they are, the organization strives to treat everybody with the same levels of respect and do everything they can to aid them in the most effective way, often assisted by Jáuregui y Del Valle lawyers working on a pro bono basis.
Pro Bono Activities
Jáuregui y Del Valle’s partners and staff are engaged in a variety of pro bono activities that benefit our local and wider communities. We use and apply our legal expertise to assist small charities with issues such as lease negotiations and advise on administrative responsibilities. As of 2019 Jáuregui y Del Valle adheres to Estándares Pro Bono México.
Our Social Responsibility Committee encourages partners and staff to give their time to projects for individual charities that they wish to support. Caring for the environment and supporting our people’s health and wellbeing
Jáuregui y Del Valle’s is committed to making the most efficient use possible of the resources we use on a day-to-day basis and are working to minimize waste and to reduce energy consumption through our different sustainability manuals.
We live and work in one of the largest cities in the world and understand how important it is for us to do everything we can to reduce greenhouse emissions. One contribution has been creating a free transportation scheme for our administrative workers, which doesn’t just help them but also reduces our collective impact on the environment. Additionally, we performance annually reforestation campaign, contributing to regenerate the environmental ecosystem of Mexico City.
Jáuregui y Del Valle is also fully committed to ensuring the mental and physical wellness of our workers, so each year we arrange recreational activities to decrease their levels of stress, improve their work environment, encourage new workers to integrate with their colleagues and encourage teamwork. We also seek to promote good health and through our Social Responsibility committee, run regular initiatives such as our Annual Lawyer Marathon and our football team.
